Linen porter / Back shift - afternoon, evening shift

Job description

Key tasks

• Working in a fast paced high energy environment managing and checking stock levels, deliveries, distribution of linen across the hotel
• Attending on weekly linen stock take
• Collection of dirty linen from the rooms and corridors, packing of cages and delivering them to collection point
• Unpacking and recording linen deliveries
• Maintaining stock levels within the linen rooms, keeping shelves tidy and organised, labelled correctly
• Ensure all rejected linen are collected from the floors and prepared for collections
• Attending for the groups check it when porterage is required

OTHER DUTIES
• Delivering guest laundry up to the rooms
• Complete wash cycles, placing items to right storage areas
• Cooperating with periodical cleaning duties
• Manage guest requests in line with company brand standards and one call delivery deadline, including making sofa beds, baby cots.
• Greet guests in public areas and rooms in a warm and friendly manner
• Ensure chemicals are used and stored correctly
• Report maintenance and hazard issues
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
• Keeping hotel areas clean and tidy up to required standards
• Cleaning rooms when required
