Korean Speaking Management Trainee at Front Office Department

Job description

Key tasks

As a Front Office Intern, you are responsible for the reception areas, carrying out general administration duties and will be required to assist within the day to day running of the Front Office Department. You will also provide a friendly welcome and high quality service over the phone and on the guest’s arrival to the hotel. You will help to deal with the demands on the front desk and find suitable solutions to meet the guests’ needs depending on the possibilities available. You will carry out all necessary operations when guests arrive and depart including check in and check out.

Responsibilities:
- To carry out the day to day administration of the front office including answering telephones.
- To answer queries from guests referring them to contact points at which they can obtain further information.
- To liaise with other departments regarding matter arising: security, housekeeping, engineering and F&B…
- To welcome guests at all time. Communicating effectively with guests, clients, business partners and staff.
- To be a good sales person to promote the hotel and company image.
- To escort guests to the room and explain the room and hotel’s facilities
- To support day to day running at Front Office.
- To ensure the delivery of high standard to guests.
- To ensure a speedy resolution to any issues that may arise on shift.
- To assist with the duties of other departments if limited staff.
- To providing assistance to staff at all times.

Essential and optional requirements

To successfully fill this role, you should be a student at a hotel management university and maintain skills and values that follow:

• Good communication skills especially in English.
• Commitment to delivering high levels of customer service
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Previous Front Office and/or industry experience is an advantage.
