Junior Payroll Controller

Job description

Key tasks

The purpose of this role is to manage the payroll processing and deal with payroll matters for all managed hotels within the Accor UKI network, (approximately 550 employees).

Key responsibilities include:

• Inputting new starters, leavers, changes, sickness, holiday, bonuses, etc.
• Inputting timesheets and absences
• Keeping up to date with payroll legislation
• Ensuring all HMRC and other legislative requirements are met in an accurate and timely manner (NMW, NLW, Statutory rate increase)
• Processing AOE such as child support, Council tax
• Manual calculations (if necessary), explaining any payroll queries to the employees
• Ensuring all corporate/internal audit requirements are met
• Calculating and managing all statutory payments e.g. maternity, paternity etc.
• Assisting with payment of bonuses and salary increases etc.
• Month-end reporting
• Assisting in processing and administering payroll related tasks as directed by the Payroll & Benefits Manager
• Supporting the continuous expansion of the company and its requirements in terms of payroll services resulting from the acquisition, opening or disposals of hotels (i.e. supporting new client and Payroll and Benefits manager during the project)
• Involvement with project teams in the implementation of new processes or systems relating to payroll
• Demonstrating a proactive approach in the management of the payroll procedures in place and adopt a flexible approach of the payroll and related tools to adapt to the company requirements and market evolution
• Providing necessary reports and ad-hoc information as requested by the Management
• Attending any meeting and training sessions as required for the position and as requested by management
• Supporting and carrying out duties applicable to any other area of the company that is deemed by your line manager to be in the interest of Accor Group
