Key tasks

Overview of duties
• Is in charge of keeping bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas clean, tidy and hygienic on a daily basis • Adopts appropriate ibis Styles service-oriented behaviours and attitudes, focussing on the brand's values: Modernity, Simplicity, Well-being
Main responsibilities
Customer relations
'• Remains polite and courteous at all times whatever customers may request, in line with the brand's service mindset
• Respects guests' privacy while working (for example, by respecting the ''Do not disturb'' sign)
• Takes guests' behaviour patterns into consideration
• If asked, explains to guests how to use certain equipment
• Knows all about ibis Styles' special features and promotes the brand and hotel's offer'
Professional techniques / Production
'• Cleans and tidies rooms, bathrooms and common areas in line with the brand's standards, the rules of hygiene and cleanliness, the procedures instigated by the Housekeeper and brand guidelines
• Ensures that rooms and furnishings look pleasant and harmonious
• Checks that equipment is in good working order, informing the Housekeeper of any anomalies
• Ensures that guest documentation in the rooms is complete and up-to-date
• Applies the procedure for handling lost property
• Restocks the mini-bar if necessary
• Sorts and counts dirty linen items before sending to laundry
• Sorts waste
• Respects guidelines on the use of cleaning products
• Handles hotel equipment, complimentary welcome gifts and room linen with due care
• Is responsible for cleaning and restocking the trolley every day
• Informs the Housekeeper of any anomalies regarding equipment in hotel rooms
• May be asked to deliver breakfasts and / or clear trays
• Is responsible for the ''master key''
• Must keep the trolley and store room tidy'
Commercial / Sales
'• Ensures that rooms and common areas look harmonious
• Knows the services on offer in the hotel and, if asked, can inform guests and encourage their use'
Management and administration
• Optimises spend on cleaning products, welcome gifts and room linen
Hygiene / Personal safety / Environment
'• Ensures that the corridors are kept clean and free of obstacles
• Respects the rules of hygiene and cleanliness and safety guidelines for guests' property
• Applies the hotel's security regulations
• Respects the hotel's commitments to the ''Environment Charter'' (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc)'
