Key tasks

All our Food and Beverage staff are exposed to working in different areas of our Food and Beverage outlets. Mainly there is the A la Carte styled offerings within our Acacia Restaurant and Bar and banquet service within our Conference area's.

You will be full of passion and drive for the hospitality industry and are seeking your opportunity to grow with a leading hospitality provider. A bubbly personality will help you strive in going the extra mile and thinking outside the box in terms of great service.

We are seeking energetic, fun and inspired persons to join our fun, hard working family here at Novotel and Ibis Ellersie! You will also report to our 3 guest-centric Food & Beverage Supervisors, plus our Restaurant & Bar Manager and our Operations Manager which is a fantastic opportunity to have such a range of knowledgeable mentors available to you each day for guidance and support!

As you can see, we are a big team, but a very successful one as well! Guest loyalty and our Guest experience's are our top priorities so we are looking for the right candidate to join us and help achieve our goals.

Duties:

- Taking orders and maximising sales opportunities through knowledge .of product and suggestive selling.
- Deliver orders promptly to the kitchen production area.
- Check ordered meals on collection from kitchen and deliver to guests promptly.
- Keep tables and service areas clean and tidy.
- Maintain hygienic food service techniques during service.
- Set up and break down of buffet service, morning/afternoon tea within conferencing services.
- Prepare breakfast buffet products.
-Ensure room service trays and trolleys are set-up correctly and collected promptly when guest(s) have finished.
- Some bar and barista exposure but we can train you in this!

Essential and optional requirements

- Exceptional grooming standards.
- Sound understanding of both written and verbal English.
- Previous Food and Beverage experience is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of Micros systems is advantageous, however we will provide support in learning the system if this is new to you.
- Knowledge of hotel orientated restaurant or bar operations is advantageous.
- Candidate MUST have a full clean NZ drivers license OR reliable public transport.
- Successful candidates will be offered varying shifts (early mornings/late evenings) within the Food and Beverage area's and be required to work over a rotating 7 day week roster each week.
