Key tasks

- Working with the Executive Pastry Chef, manage all colleagues engaged in the Pastry kitchen.
- Responsible for the smooth operation of the Pastry kitchen and bakery areas with emphasis on quality and standards.
- Lead and support all departments in the achievement of their financial and operational targets via effective organizational development, policy and procedural development, and appropriate colleague training and engagement.
- Ensure that all pastry operations are compliant with Food Safety and Sanitation/HACCP standards and policies at all times.
- Assist in the annual planning of the F&B budget as it pertains to the kitchen (food cost, productivities), as well as implementation and regular monitoring of the budget/forecasts.
- Ensure that all menus are created using guest feedback, industry trends, competitive intelligence, seasonal offerings and all service standards.

- Passion for creating and enhancing culinary style, and exhibiting passion for culinary arts.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices within the Food & Beverage/Hospitality profession.
- Sound knowledge about all kinds of Pastry cooking techniques and methods.
- Proven creativity and execution of F&B programs in a very dynamic and competitive market development, inter-departmental teamwork and exceptional customer service.
- Able to develop strong work relationships with both Guests and Colleagues alike.
- Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts or related discipline.
- Excellent Communication and Leadership Skills.
