Hotel Overview:    

Fairmont Chengdu, situated within the Palm Springs International Centre, is located in the heart of Tianfu New Area and Chengdu Hi-tech Zone and is adjacent to the Century City New International Convention & Exhibition Center, Global Center and the Tianfu Software Park.

The hotel features 336 guest rooms, Willow Stream Spa, Gold Executive Floor, over 1,350 square meters of meeting facilities, and a collection of F&B concepts including an all-day-dining restaurant Spectrum, CUBE a three-floor concept - lounge, cocktail bar and restaurant, a signature Sichuan Chinese restaurant Chang Yi, and our feature restaurant MIKU occupying the top level of the hotel. The hotel opened its door on December 21, 2016.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:            
·  Recommend and upsell wines to guests in the restaurant.

·  Must act professionally and appropriately at all times.

·  Ensure quality of food and service is kept to the very highest of standards at all times.

·  Implement practices and procedures and consistently review operational standards with the aim of always improving speed and service quality.

·  Contribute feedback to kitchen and senior management staff on all aspects of the guests’ experience.

·  Liaise with events teams and co-ordinate load in and venue set up for events and private hire occasions.

·  Ensure all staff to conduct themselves with the utmost integrity.

·  Ensuring venue set up, table set up and venue cleanliness it to an exceptionally high standard.

·  Monitor breakage, storerooms and general respect for company property.

·  Handle guest issues carefully and promptly.

·  Compile department schedule in conjunction with Restaurant Mgr.

·  Follow all legal and hotel regulations.

·  Works closely with reservations/sales to ensure a personal experience is created with all our guests.

·  Assist HR with recruitment of new staff as well as KPI’s and evaluation.

·  Contribute ideas and feedback to sales/marketing and department heads.

·  Engage in social activities outside of the venue, mingle and invite guests and actively to promote the outlet.

·  Offer solutions to problems, and assist in all areas of venue operation as and when required.

·  Training and developing staff, keep up to date records of training.

·  Monitor maintenance issues and ensure that the venue is always in immaculate condition.

·  Monitor Floor Supervisors and Assist with all service related activities.

·  Ensure all guests bills are paid and are correct.

·  Monitor and assist with restaurant service ensuring guest expectations are always exceeded.

 

Qualifications:
·  At least one Year Ast Restaurant Manager Experience.

·  Experience reading reports and working with hospitality POS Systems.
·  Exceptional wine knowledge and qualifications.

·  Computer literate (Excel).

·  Able to problem solve and pre-empt issues and problems.

·  Exceptional guest relations skills.

·  Fine dining experience.

·  Ability to train, lead and mentor staff.

·  Outgoing personality.

·  No criminal record.

·  No social media activities that would bring the brand into disrepute.
