We are now seeking to recruit an Assistant Chief Engineer to join our current Maintenance team.

As an Assistant Chief Engineer you will:

• Deputise in the absence of the Chief Engineer for the running of the Department
• Behave and act in an exemplary fashion, embodying the brand mind-set
• At the direction of the Chief Engineer ensure that all the hotel's technical processes and installations are maintained
• Act as the leader of the Maintenance team providing direction to the Technicians on all aspects of their job
• Liaise with all necessary departments to complete tasks
• Assist the Chief Engineer to ensure that the regulatory procedures and follow-up processes including the safety of people and property, quality and guests' comfort are at an optimum
• Carry out and direct various repair work throughout all areas of the building as required, following specifications and handle any unexpected problems.
• Prevent problems from occurring in the hotel's technical installations by carrying out routine tasks and inspections
• Implement the corrective action plans as communicated by the Chief Engineer
• Check hotel PMS for reported defects and report back via correct channels
• Work on electrical systems to carry out repairs and replacements
• To be conversant and know who to contact for all systems relating to plant, equipment and utilities
