Python Developer for Splunk

Job description

Job Summary:

The primary responsibilities of the Python Developer for Splunk:

• Develop Splunk applications and add-ons for Accenture's global go-to-market security platform.

• Develop integrations between Splunk and other security vendor solutions such as Palo Alto, Tanium, iDefense, Endgame, SAP, Claroty, Demisto, and others.

• Use the SCRUM agile methodology for development

• Resolve day-to-day technical issues and problems highlighted during User Acceptance Testing.

• Work closely with the Project Manager, discuss development status and highlight issues which may impact the project timelines.

Essential requirements:

• Strong experience with development in Python

• Manage code using GIT

• Very good skills with developing integrations using APIs

• Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills

• Experience with Bash shell in the Unix/Linux environment

• Precision and attention to details, willingness to learn new things

• Ability to work well as part of a global development team

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Nice to have skills:

• Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security product

• JavaScript programming skills

• Knowledge of HTML and CSS

• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services

• Understanding of IT security principles

• Experience in security operations

• Good understanding and practical experience of agile software development

• University degree in IT field is a clear advantage

• Interest in the Cyber Security field

• Experience in Bash scripting
