Salary: £68,000 - £93,000

Key features of the role

In today's digitalised world being able to provide a seamless customer experience and optimising the path to purchase, coupled with ensuring a secure way to pay, is key for a retailer's success. As a payments architect within technology consulting you will play a crucial role in solutioning cutting edge consumer purchase solutions across channels for our retail clients. You will have an in-depth knowledge of both legacy and emerging technologies across Point of Sale (POS), online and mobile.

As an architect you will be confident in leading and contributing to discussions with the client and colleagues alike to understand current challenges, identify opportunities to use new technology and to architect a functional solution.

Ability to turn into a roadmap and to be the catalyst of a transformation journey.

As part of the Technology Consulting, you will also help mentor team members by helping them enhance their payments knowledge and architecture skills.

What we're looking for

Advisory & implementation experience of payments architecture, which should include tangible examples in several of the following areas:

·  Comprehensive understanding and hands on experience of defining the architecture for consumer purchase across multiple channels, at a conceptual, logical and physical level
·  Experience of working directly with clients to support the definition of their payments strategy, roadmap and implementation
·  Knowledge and understanding of payment regulations such as PSD2
·  Knowledge of emerging technologies (including relevant payment innovation) and how to apply in an enterprise architecture setting
·  Understanding of retail integration to financial institutions
·  Ability to translate business and non-functional requirements into solution designs
·  Confident in forging and owning relationships and owning conversations with client stakeholders
·  Background in the Retail industry

What other qualifications or skills do I need?

·  Educated to Bachelor's Degree level
·  Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
·  Onshore, client-facing experience
·  Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
·  Strong career progression to date
·  You must be willing to be London based, but be fully mobile, i.e. prepared to work away from home Monday to Friday as required
