Internship – Liquid Studio & Accenture Innovation Awards – Software Engineer

We are currently looking for a software engineer to our Accenture Liquid Studio in Utrecht. The Accenture Liquid Studio is a new facility designed for rapid application development and prototyping of new technology.

Our highly-skilled engineers use rapid application development principles; lightweight and microservice-based architectures; and technologies that transform experiences and operations, such as the Internet of Things, Augmented reality, Block chain technology, Artificial intelligence, Sensor based applications, wearables, etc.

Your role

The Accenture Innovation Awards (a year-round innovation program for the most innovative Dutch products, services and concepts) and Liquid Studio have joined forces to redesign the technology stack of the Accenture Innovation Awards (e.g. CRM systems, jury/client tool, event registration platform, event app).

· Build applications and prototypes for the Accenture Innovation Awards
· Create effective agile processes and deliver customer value through high quality, reliable code
· Communicate constructively with team members to cooperatively build a product suite that delights customers
· Write extensible code with high automated test coverage
· Contribute to team decisions about system architecture and the selection of technical tools
· Build attractive and intuitive user experiences
· Cooperate with 3rd party providers of technology and specific knowledge
· Build knowledge in new technological areas
· Troubleshoot issues as they arise and resolve technical challenges. Understand business concerns and contribute to brainstorming pragmatic options to address them

Basic Qualifications

·  Bachelor or Master degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science (or related)
·  Eager and passionate about developing software
·  Always looking for a new technical challenge and solution
·  Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
·  Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skill
·  Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
·  Fluent in Dutch and English

Other Professional Skill Requirements and Qualifications

·  Solid foundation in software programming
·  Dynamic language experience (Java, Python, Ruby, Javascript, PHP)
·  Git skills and basic bash skills (find, grep, cp, mv, less, top, etc.)
·  Knowledge of basic data formats (json, database, csv)
·  Basic networking exposure (ip vs. MAC, basic OSI, protocols – http, ssh, tcp, sockets)
·  Infrastructure competence (OS familiarity, virtual, cloud, package management/install services)
