Industry X.0 | Connected Worker or IoT Platform

Within Digital we are growing fast in Industry X.0. Industry X.0 is the Digital Reinvention of Industry & Manufacturing. Increasingly, businesses use advanced digital technologies to transform their core operations. Such businesses use this technology to focus on their workers, the customer experiences and ultimately transforming their business models. New levels of efficiency are achieved through integrated systems, processes, sensors and new intelligence in:

Worker and customer experiences are reimagined and redesigned through personalization and advances in immersive, augmented and virtual reality. New business models and revenue streams are unlocked by smart, connected products, services and plants that are enabled by new ecosystems. Accenture will open a great Industry X.0. inspiration center in Eindhoven in August. This is a great opportunity for you to see the technologies applied and to support with client meetings during your research. Your ideas for improvements for the center and your support will make this a success!

Your impact

Are you looking for an internship in which you play an active role in formulating a clear vision on the latest digital developments? Do you want to do your graduate thesis research on a subject directly relevant to the clients of Accenture? Accenture offers a full-time graduate research internship for at least five months at our office in Eindhoven. If you already have a research questions or area in mind please don't hesitate to share that with us!

What will you be doing? A graduate research thesis where you formulate your own research question or will be doing a research thesis in one of the following areas:

Connected Worker

Many of the manufacturing and service companies struggle to have the right talent. Efficiency and quality can be improved a lot if the employees have the right tools, information and skills to do the job right. As Accenture we enable the digital transformation of workforces through talent assessments, planning, transforming and enabling of employees with new work models, leading-edge solutions and technologies (e.g. AR/VR and AI) that increase efficiency , quality and safety .

We use technologies like Robotics, Drones, Wearables, Image recognition, scheduling and crowdsourcing platforms to empower our clients to disrupt their industries with a focus on the workforce.

If you are an enthusiastic student with a Business and Technology focus and interested in one of these topics:

IoT Platform

IoT is a solution for companies to gather (sensor) data in a central platform and bring valuable information to business operators anywhere and anytime. An IoT solution is built by chain of different technologies, when brought together in the right way, enables industrial companies to move in the digital age. Each of these technologies have recently developed into scalable, standard and cost efficient solutions, enabling to roll out IoT solutions across the world. IoT is the cornerstone for companies to improve their business and industrial processes or to develop new and smart products. As IoT group within Accenture we know what is required to build end-to-end IoT platform. We can Architect, Advise and Built parts or complete IoT solutions. We understand Wireless Technologies, Sensor Technologies, Cyber Security, IoT platform and Smart Consumer Devices and we know how to use these technologies to improve business and industrial processes by provide the right information at the right place and right time.

If you are an enthusiastic student with Business and Technology focus and interested in one of these topics:

· Industrial and Business processes (Scheduling, Quality, Logistic, Maintenance)
· IoT platform (PTC, Mindsphere, Predix, Daussalt, etc)
· Wireless technologies (WiFi, 4G/5G, LoRa, LTE-M, WirelessHart, etc)
· Sensors (RaspberryPi, Audrino, etc)
· Security (Gateways, Certification etc)
· Smart Devices (SDK, Dashboard, AR, VR etc)

We can offer you an interesting and valuable workplace and support for delivering your thesis successfully. Within IoT platforms, we see options for you to work on developing cutting edge IoT PoC/Demos, building MVP, developing business based solution (e.g health & safety), technology research (e.g. platform, wireless, security). Qualifications :

Your background

·  You are nearing completion of your studies at university and are searching for work experience within your field of interest with future growth possibilities.
·  You have demonstrable affinity and/or experience with trends and development in the fields of digital technologies and digital business.
·  You are a team player with excellent communication skills; you are professional and precise.
·  You speak fluent English and Dutch; both spoken and written.You work independently and have a hands-on mentality; you are creative and take responsibility.
·  You have an interest in at least one of the following: Industrial Processes; Robotics; AI; IoT Architecture or IT technology; User Centric development and Innovation.

Together with all the Digital interns, supervisors and buddies, you are part of the Digital Talent Factory community with monthly feedback sessions, activities and trainings. Finally, you will also receive an internship compensation (€) and a laptop.
