The Vulnerabilities Engineer will be responsible for the following:

· Perform analyses to validate NIST 800-53, DISA STIGS, and DHS 4300A security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
· Manage the day-to-day activities of threat and vulnerability management, identify risk tolerances, recommend treatment plans and communicate information about residual risk.
· Operate and maintain a suite of vulnerability management tools such as ACAS, SCAP, Nessus, IBM Appscan, Burpsuite, Tripwire, McAfee, and Nipper Studio.
· Examine data from multiple tools to identify, analyze, and report events for vulnerability remediation, security compliance, and incident response.
· Analyze scan results, prioritize, identify and make remediation recommendations to the Security Lead based on the analysis
· Document security policies, security software administration work instructions, schedules and maintenance procedures.
· Communicate technical details with a variety of audiences to address security threats and vulnerabilities.
· Research, analyze, design, test, and implement new or vendor-supplied security software solutions.

Desired profile



Qualifications :

Basic Skills & Qualifications:

·  2 + years experience in network security and information security policies
·  Experience using vulnerability tools such as: Retina, ACAS, Tenable Nessus and Security Center to perform vulnerability analysis
·  Experience with one or more of the following: log and monitoring management systems, security event monitoring systems, network-based and host-based intrusion detection systems, firewall technologies, malware detection and enterprise-level antivirus solutions/systems, VPN technologies and encryption standards
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

·  Experience with configuration management
·  Experience with automated CMDB tool
·  Bachelor's degree
·  Burpsuite IBM AppScan, or retina experience
·  Security +, MCTS, CEH or similar industry certification preferred
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
