General Description:
Responsible for customer diagnostics requirements management, translation of customer requirements into detailed product requirements, and compliance testing for power electronics controllers ( Inverter, DCDC, On-board Charger..)
Will be part of a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined product development team working on projects involving multiple locations.
Specific description :
Interface with European customers ( specifically Daimler) to gather and analyze requirements related to on-board diagnostics
- Document customer diagnostics requirements
- Communicate the diagnostics requirements to customer systems and software engineers
- Defining the requirements for the configuration of the DCM/DEM with the support of SW team
- Generates product functional test plan (compliance testing) for diagnostics communication jobs (DCM)
- Perform functional testing on test bench and car.
- Support customer test and validation programs.
- Understand the legislative diagnostics requirements for Europe and USA ( OBD)
Profile:
- 4 or 5 year University degree in Electrical Engineering
- Big picture thinker with an eye for details
- Strong understanding of vehicle electronic requirements.
- Strong communication skills are essential
- Previous experience in automotive powertrain/power electronics is a benefit
- Good foundation knowledge of both hardware and software
- Experience with on board diagnostics is an advantage
