4 or 5 year University degree in Electrical Engineering
Work experience / Skills
- Big picture thinker with an eye for details
- Familiarity with ISO 26262
- Understanding of vehicle electronic requirements and power electronics systems requirements ( electrical machine control)
- Experience in real-time embedded system design
- Strong communication skills are essential
- Previous experience in automotive powertrain/power electronics is a benefit
- Good foundation knowledge of both hardware and software
Poste et missions:
Responsible for customer requirements management related to electrical motor control, translation of customer requirements in to detailed product requirements, and compliance testing of inverter.
- Will be part of a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined product development team working on projects involving multiple locations.
Motor controls support for power electronics projects
- Support and development of machine control diagnostics for power electronics projects
- Develop & document software requirements
- Demonstrate traceability between product verification and machine controls related requirements
- Define and execute bench and (dynamometer) testing for development and verification of machine controls and diagnostic functionality
- Support (not development) of automated test related activities
- Integration of machine parameterization into machine control algorithms, with subsequent machine characterization
- Support general systems engineering team through application of machine controls domain knowledge
- Lead troubleshooting of software functional issues related to machine controls and diagnostics
- Contribute as a member of a multi-disciplined implementation team
- Communicate project status internally and externally
Customer interface related to machine controls, machine integration and diagnostic functionality
Profil:
4 or 5 year University degree in Electrical Engineering
Work experience / Skills
- Knowledge of automotive embedded systems is preferred
- Strong problem solving skills preferred
- Familiarity with machine control related concepts
required: field oriented vector control, reference frame theory, space vector modulation (SVM) and other commutation techniques (e.g. block commutation and BLDC), closed loop current regulation, open loop V/Hz control schemes, torque control, and speed control
- 3-4 years of experience in the aforementioned power electronics areas preferred
- Familiarity with machine position sensor technology required (e.g. encoder, resolver, hall effect position sense)
- Experience with power electronics related instrumentation (e.g. power analyzer) preferred
- Experience with system simulation and modeling tools (e.g. Matlab/Simulink) is required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are required
- Good foundation knowledge of both hardware and software
