Abbott Ireland Commercial  Liffey Valley Dublin

Opened in 1946, this operation, based in Liffey Valley Dublin was the first Abbott business unit to be established in Ireland. This business is responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of a wide range of diabetes, diagnostic, and nutritional products in Ireland.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The main responsibilities Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (ARDx) Treasury group are cash planning, exposure management and reporting, coupled with some bank relationship management. For Cash planning the expectation is to monitor the ARDx affiliates via monthly corporate reporting to ensure that cash balances are managed effectively. For exposure management we will again ensure that all affiliate exposures are correctly identified and that they are being managed in line with Abbott policy. We interact with our primary bank partners on a regular basis to ensure the affiliates are getting the required levels of support. Additionally, working to ensure we understand any new trends and products that would be available. Reporting includes understanding the Balance Sheet and P&L inputs  for the ARDx affiliates and analyzing and reporting the results, primarily exchange. The team is also responsible for forecasting the cost of coverage expense for the P&L and Balance Sheet planning process. Furthermore, it is our responsibility to ensure general compliance with Treasury related Abbott Policies including e-banking systems. As ARDx is in an integration phase there are regular ah hoc items to be resolved.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Review foreign currency exposures for ARDx entities and be able to support ARDx affiliates in managing their exposure compliant to Corporate policy. Perform monthly exchange analysis and report this to the Area Treasurer, ARDx
·  Participates in the Balance Sheet and P&L planning process and provides variance analysis to the Area Treasurer, ARDx
·  Interact with the Trade and Credit teams to provide support with Trade Finance solutions.
·  Actively participate in integration and improvement projects
·  Support the Area Treasurer ARDx in performing their activities.
·  Be responsible for properly archiving documents both physically and electronically
·  Collaborate with the owners of the BA Web portal to ensure ARDx data remains current.
·  Provide support to the hedging team and assist with monthly treasury reports
·  The Treasury Analyst is expected to participate and contribute to the vision and strategy setting where possible. 
·  The Treasury Analyst is an agent for change and innovation and stimulates creativity and innovation in the Corporate Treasury team. They will support the ARDx affiliates on a day to day basis.
·  Maintain ARDx adherence to CFM0050 and 0051 through interaction with ARDx affiliates.
·  The Treasury Analyst is expected to participate and contribute to the vision and strategy setting where possible. 
·  The Treasury Analyst is an agent for change and innovation and stimulates creativity and innovation in the Corporate Treasury team. They will support the ARDx affiliates on a day to day basis

EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES

·  Primary degree in a business or financial discipline.
·  One to two years of work experience in a treasury role is preferred but not essential.
·  Fluent with written and verbal English
·  Proficient with MS Office packages including Outlook, Excel Word etc.
·  Experience with Electronic Bank systems and/or ERP systems (EG SAP) would be helpful.
·  Strong analytical skills
·  Priority setting and delegation
