Technician II, Calibration

Job description

     

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

Under direct supervision from the Maintenance Operations Engineer, manage and execute maintenance related activities (corrective, preventive and improving). Maintain complete and accurate records for work orders, equipment history records and spare parts inventory.  Communicate shift events, daily, to colleague team members and area Supervisor. Share knowledge for troubleshooting most equipment problems. Perform analysis, teste and implement corrective actions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Perform multi-discipline calibrations
·  Review documentation, checklists and manuals for accuracy and completeness
·  Read equipment manuals and independently learn equipment operation
·  Availability to travel by air to remote manufacturing sites to provide support
·  Research equipment specifications
·  Complete assigned projects
·  Identify safety issues related to calibration procedures
·  Write calibration procedures using word processing, spreadsheet and graphics software
·  Submit change orders 
·  Research repair situations and determine action steps
·  Perform troubleshooting
·  Use and order tools and specify and order parts with attention to safety precautions
·  Perform normal repairs and maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS

·  High School degree
·  Technical degree required ( Electricity, mechanics, Chemistry, electronics, industrial engineering, electromechanical or other related technical fields, )
·  6 months experience in manufacturing industry.
·  Proficiency in computer applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint).
·  Intermediate command of English required
·  Experience in calibration and test methods on equipment and instrument calibration.
·  Prior medical device experience.
·  Training in Calibration (courses).
·  Knowledge of ISO 17025.
·  Shift TB Monday to Friday 3:30pm to 10:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am to 3:30pm
