Support Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Abbott Informatics , Abbott Group, whose head office is responsible for the marketing and implementation of the STARLIMS complete IT solution for laboratories for key account customers (Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Petroleum, Luxury, Environment), and is looking for an Application Support Engineer to develop its activity.

- Position and missions:

The position is based in Madrid.

Reporting to the support manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

- Support for users of our software package for business applications,

- Technically handle level 1 and then level 2 customer incidents,

- Master application settings,

- Remote control for analysis and resolution of problems encountered,

- Monitor the number of incident tickets and manage the incidents: investigation, additional tests, resolution and closure or escalation to level 3 after relevant qualification and follow-up,

- Participates in global support in collaboration with other ABBOTT support engineers in Europe (EMEA area),

- Proposal strength for the necessary evolutions to improve customer satisfaction,

- Profile :

Engineer by training Master 1 and/or Master 2 ideally in Sciences and Techniques in Industrial Informatics, Bio-Informatics and/or Informatics.

You are committed to maintaining and developing customer satisfaction at the highest level as well as the image of the company and its teams.

- Skills :

Good knowledge of computer languages, DBMS, SQL (ORACLE,

SQL servers) and if possible LIMS, if not CAMM, ERP and DMS.

If possible, a first successful experience as an engineer in technical information systems engineering such as ERP, LIMS, MES or in an IT services company involved in these fields.  Level of technical English required.
