Abbott Ireland Commercial  Liffey Valley Dublin

Opened in 1946, this operation, based in Liffey Valley Dublin was the first Abbott business unit to be established in Ireland. This business is responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of a wide range of diabetes, diagnostic, and nutritional products in Ireland.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Supply Chain Manager, reporting to the TPM Operations Director, is responsible for overseeing, managing, and setting strategic direction for the European TPM Supply Chain operations to ensure delivery of quality and compliant products on-time and in-full. 

The incumbent will lead and direct a team responsible for the production planning and scheduling of the TPM supply plans while also managing material supply and inventory controls to ensure continuity of production while avoiding excess and obsolescence risks.

The role will also have responsibility for coordinating all New Product Introductions (NPI) and on market product changes such as label / artwork updates and other revision edits.

The Supply Chain Manager will collaborate closely with counterparts in the TPM organizations, Division Supply Chain team, and all other key functions / sites to meet business supply objectives, while effectively manage change though clear communication, and driving a culture of continuous improvement through Supply Chain Excellence.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

· 
Ensuring that the TPM organization meets its customer service and inventory management goals and objectives.

· 
Working with TPMs and key suppliers / service providers to establish capacity availability and constraints.

· 
Establish KPIs to drive continuous improvement of the TPM supply chain.

· 
Own the planning, scheduling, and execution of NPI & Product change projects.

· 
Develop partnerships and work in collaboration with all key functions within the TPM organizations as well as ADC.

· 
Effectively communicate supply chain changes and challenges to the TPM leadership team to ensure all effected parties are aware and aligned.

· 
Identify and anticipate Supply Chain related risks / challenges and develop mitigation plans while informing site leadership team as needed.

· 
Developing a high performing team through Coaching, Performance Excellence, and Growth plans.

· 
Responsible for ensuring that all policies are adhered to.

· 
Responsible for financial compliance of department.

· 
Providing required resources to ensure all regulatory and quality assurance objectives are met.

· 
Promote and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Abbott TPM organization and across the TPM sites.

· 
Collaborate across functions and businesses to develop multiyear improvement roadmaps with clear goals, objectives, and success criteria. 

EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES:

· 
A third level qualification in Business or applicable Supply Chain qualification.

Six Sigma Green Belt or Blackbelt certification desirable.

Project Management qualification desirable.

· 
5 years’ experience in a similar environment with 3 years supervisory experience.

· 
Experience working with Third Party Manufacturers or Tier 1 / Tier 2 suppliers ideal.

· 
Demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.

· 
Excellent communication / interpersonal skills.

· 
Enthusiastic and energetic with the ability to lead a team.

Demonstrated flexible and innovative approach to work.
