JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is either in Minnesota or remote. Working under general supervision, provides Learning Management System (LMS) software support in accordance with requirements specified per U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Detailed Work Instructions (DWIs). Provides outstanding service and support to internal customers from all levels of the organization. Assists managers in determining training needs and requirements. Utilizing the LMS software system, identifies, creates, and tracks training for all departments. Takes initiative to ensure work is done accurately and completely. Applies existing work methods to known situations and can recognize when escalation is required.

Job Duties: 

  • Set up training audiences, certification trainings, courses, versional documents, and track in-class, online, onsite and offsite training within the LMS software. 
  • Assist departments in defining training requirements and determining timelines. 
  • Work closely with department managers to ensure training is available when needed and completed when required. 
  • Develop, run, and distribute reports as scheduled or upon request for management and/or internal or external audit purposes. 
  • Manage the process that assigns courses to employees. 
  • Determine percentage of training successfully completed and inform managers when their training is complete and documents can be released in the Document Control system. 
  • Input content into LMS using pre-determined organizational structure and naming conventions. 
  • Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.  Exhibits a positive customer service attitude.
  • Remains current on software changes and developments in field(s) of expertise. 
  • Resolves and/or facilitates resolution of problems, with more complex issues being escalated appropriately.
  • Performs other essential functions and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
  • Works additional hours, days, or schedules (including other shifts, weekends, and/or holidays), if directed. 
  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
  • Supports all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
     

General Qualifications:
 

  • A minimum of 1 year of progressively more responsible experience using applications such as LMS, MS Office, database software, Adobe software, Captivate, SharePoint, online training module software, or the equivalent is required. 
  • High school diploma or other specialized training/equivalent related experience required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field, preferred. 
  • Ability to resolve issues for internal customers in a professional manner. 
  • Must be able to use discretion and handle sensitive/confidential information.
  • Must demonstrate basic skills using various PC-based software, as well as spreadsheet software (i.e. MS Excel). 
  • Training software and/or Electronic Data Management system experience is preferred. 
  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment. 
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. 
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills required. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively, respectfully and productively with others. Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a good rapport with all internal customers. 
  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to complete projects. 
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. 
  • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. 
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, time management and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail. 
  • Must be able to maintain regular and predictable attendance; the ability to work overtime is also required.
  • Comprehensive ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required. 

Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with applicable FDA regulations and Company operating procedures, processes, policies and rules is essential.
