Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The overall job purpose is to market pharmaceutical products, tasked to handle through MD call visits and by conducting CME/CSA activities, implement marketing programs that are expected to eventually generate sales. Accountable primarily for providing doctors accurate information about the product w/c essentially the MDs must trust in prescribing or using to their patients. Quality and timely execution of marketing programs and strategies in the field that would yield market share on product/s being handled.

Key Areas of Accountability:

Promotes the assigned products to doctors/target stakeholders using the prescribed FOS sales technique and visit these MDs based on assigned frequency. Achieves the minimum call performance of 12 per day with 90% Call Reach and 85% Strike rates. Call Efficiency on in-base/out-base MDs to their assigned frequency depending on their influence and potential in the business.

Quality execution of all agreed marketing strategies, programs and plan of actions. Conducts the agreed minimum quarterly RTD, minimum agreed monthly PP/AVP/FGD per and minimum agreed monthly CSA per key products handled. Regularly conducts PR related activities in the field to build and maintain strong business partnership with customers.

Visit minimum of 2-3 hospital pharmacy on a daily basis to check stock availability of assigned products, report any products that are out-of-stocks or on critical level. Regular sales coordination with sales counterparts and monitor to ensure that all trade sales & programs agreed are executed and maximized to avoid product being returned.

Accountable for financial responsibilities like monthly qouta sales achievement & forecast accuracy. Minimum of 100% Product and Overall sales achievement at the end of every calendar year

Complete and submit designated reports weekly, monthly, quarterly or as required which includes monthly post-activity or quarterly customer feedback report. Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of APD systems such as accuracy of reports and adherence to Abbott’s quality standards

Attend and complete training requirements and be certified to ensure a high level of competence and continuously updating technical knowledge and skills.

Ensure Hospital/Clinics both Private and Government penetrations and inclusions of products handled.

Compliance of the key procedures like daily application of veeva, pre and post call notes and call objectives, provide feedback on every calls made, daily synchronization. Timely submissions of ER, CME/CSA Feedback report, competitive feedback and other admin requirements.

Adherence to the corporate procedures. Maintains and handles company assets in a manner that prevents loss or damage resulting to costly repair or replacement. Adherence to CGCC, OEC and PHAP or other internal and external policies

Demonstrate excellent knowledge on the products being handled. Achieves an average of no less than 90% in all PK exams, trainings and district exams. Achieves expectations in all OJT/Coaching ratings especially in detailing skills demonstrating the challenger behavior.

    Minimum Qualification:

  • College Graduate of any 4 year course preferably business admin or any medical related courses.
  • Preferably a modest experience in other pharmaceutical products with similar product lines handled
  • Professional Driver's License is a must
  • Confident and possesses above average communication skills

  • Ability to communicate with the key stakeholders in a hospital setting (Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, Purchasers)
  • Proven very good record on planning and organizational skills
  • Must be creative and persistent in problem solving. E.g. generate options before coming up with the most logical solution

  • Must have very good interpersonal skills. Can quickly adapt to the assigned territory handling dual function and to Abbott’s working environment and culture.
