JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Job Function

Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Core Job Responsibilities

Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

1. Observes and complies with all safety rules and regulations. This includes QSR and ISO Standards.

2. Participates in the Material Review Board (MRB) decision process.

3. Identifies and implements corrective actions for manufacturing related issues.

4. Performs equipment setup and corrective, preventive and calibration maintenance as necessary.

5. Installs and validates equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established validation procedure.

6. Evaluates operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. May develop or revise documents and procedures.

7. Certifies manufacturing associates in the production processes.

8. Evaluates and orders necessary equipment, tools and fixtures.

Minimum Education

Two-year degree (preferred) with 8+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and technical work experience. May also require a license or certification in the area of expertise.

Experience/Training Required:

* Medical Device experience is REQUIRED

* IQ/OQ/PQ experience

* Fixture design

* Experience writing/executing process validation

* CAD a+

* SolidWorks a+

* Mills/Lathes a+

Applies superior knowledge of highly complex technical concepts and/or develops highly advanced technologies or processes. Thorough understanding of product or systems fundamentals in cross functional areas. Recommends/utilizes/interprets advanced numerical and statistical data and/or computer software programs to present documentation and analysis and resolve complex problems. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
