WHAT YOU’LL DO  

The Licensing & Regulatory Specialist Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality system.  This position will support day to day operations for change control and provide regulatory direction on team activities.   The primary responsibility of this position will be maintain and obtain state licensing enrollments and state Medicaid enrollments.  In addition, the position will be responsible for keeping track of state licensing requirements and state Medicaid requirements based on annual requirement reviews.   This position will be responsible for audit preparation for the site and handling submissions associated with internal and external audits.

·  Responsible for audit preparation for the site and handling submissions associated with internal and external audits
·  Develops; implements and monitors productivity and quality to ensure standards are met.
·  Maintains patient information in accordance with HIPAA, PHI and regulatory requirements.
·  Audits the billing and collections activity for compliance and accuracy on a regular basis.
·  Point of contact for inquiries from management staff, Corporate finance, and auditors, payers regarding licensing status and regulatory/ audit inquiries

  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING  

Required  

·  Bachelor's Degree preferably in a technical discipline such as biology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, medical technology, etc. 
·  Minimum 2 years regulatory experience required. 
·  Microsoft office proficency required
·  Competencies Required: Business Acumen, Confidentiality, Drive for Results, Action-Oriented, Technical Learning, Strategic Agility, Change Management, Time Management

Preferred  

·  Licensing/ Accreditation experience preferred
·  Experience with writing performance reviews, employee relations, interviewing for hire, disciplinary action write-ups, and counseling employees.
·  Must have knowledge of general office procedures using office equipment. 
·  Strong at execution, follow-up and attention to detail.
·  Commitment to process improvement and the ability to think “out-of the box”.
·  Strong leadership experience, including excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
·  A team player, adept at building relationships within the team and across the organization.
·  Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
·  Ability to recognize performance quality and motivate others towards improved performance.
·  Possesses excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills in order to meet commitments and deadlines.
·  Ability to work independently and demonstrate consistent customer focus.

·  Ability to verbally communicate details and understand parameters of job responsibilities.
·  Takes initiative to learn Company organization and procedures.

·  Adheres to all Company HIPAA compliance regulations, business and professional ethics, and confidentiality and privacy regulations as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
·  Requires an in depth understand of compliance, regulatory oversight bodies and payer requirements.
