JOB DESCRIPTION:

In Germany, Abbott has approximately 2,700 employees working in manufacturing, research and development, logistics, sales and marketing. They are located at Abbott`s German headquarters in Wiesbaden and its sites in Ettlingen, Hanover, Ludwigshafen, Neustadt am Rübenberge, Wetzlar and Witten.

Abbott Diagnostics Division is looking for a

Plant Controller (m/f)

based in the Manufacturing Site in Wiesbaden.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide business and financial counsel to management. This includes providing leadership in the establishment of business goals; strategies; priorities and tactics; as well as; assessing the resources and funding required to meet commitments
• Prepare & co-ordinate Plan, Long range plan (LRP), and Latest Best Estimate (LBE) data for submission to the US. Responsible for reporting month end variance against Plan and rolling LBE (rLBE). Maintain and issue standard cost data
• a comprehensive set of Controllership responsibilities, including general accounting, financial planning, financial reporting, financial analysis, manufacturing accounting, inventory control, spend management and fixed asset accounting for Abbott Diagnostics Division. Control of the applicable financial applications of the Site ERP system, financial applications and transaction processing functions to ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of all financial-related information including compliance with Corporate and Division Policies and Procedures
• Financial staff development, including coaching and counseling, and participation in short and long-range planning, execution of strategic initiatives
• Be a business partner and active member of the site's management team
• Establish and maintain internal processes; procedures and controls that safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of the financial accounts. Respond to audit requirements
• Optimize the use of Human Resources by encouraging an atmosphere of involvement, open communication and effective teamwork

Qualifications:

• Minimum: Accountancy qualification (CPA or equivalent)
• Bachelors/Masters Degree in Business Administration or equivalent third level qualification is desirable
• Strong exposure to product costing and financial planning
• Strong people management & leadership skills
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
• Strong planning & organizational skills
• Experience in Manufacturing environment including financial reporting, cost account, internal control, policy development and project accounting
• Min. two years managing professionals
• Fluent in English and German
