JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Purpose-

The Financial Analyst position is a critical role to enable the commercial and financial leadership to drive systematic data support and data-based decision making for all topics having a direct impact on the financial success of the business unit. It includes sales- and margin analysis, cost management as well as cash-flow activities.

In addition, the financial analysts as true business partners to the commercial managers as well as the support functions, who are relying on the financial knowledge and expertise of their financial partners. In many cases, the (senior) financial analysts are also close to bonus and commission calculations internally (sales teams) and externally (customers, distributors, other 3rd parties), ensuring a stringent pay-for-performance mind-set.

Finally, the financial analysts are actively driving forecast accuracy, transparency and standardization. This work should enable them to support the business not only backwards, but also – and mostly – forwards.

As part of the role of a financial analyst, they also drive projects and make proactive suggestions to the business leaders to drive their area of responsibility forward financially.

Job Responsibilities-

Act as a trusted business partner at all commercial levels of measurable value creation within his area of responsibility

Work with large, complex data sets to support implementation of data solutions that help predict, improve and measure the success of key business outcomes.

Provide support to General Managers, Regional Managers and Marketing Managers in the definition of new strategies and tactics to ensure market penetration, profitable sales growth and bottom-line focus

Develop and run reports and provide analysis to management among all Business Units in relation to region plan setting, territory management, forecasting and other sales and marketing analysis.

Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills focused on data deliverables in a way that lays groundwork for future successes.

Organize and maintain a system with all relevant data easy accessible to Sales management, interacting with colleagues or third parties

Ensure that best operating processes are in place in order to timely and effectively gather information from sales and marketing as required

Participate to ad-hoc projects at management requests.

Qualifications-

Proven analytical skills at senior management level. Strong Business Partnering skills.

Strong commercial business acumen

Proven mastery on large data handling and tool-driven data analysis. Strong experiences on Excel and an established data-cube system (Hyperion, Dodeca, etc.). SAP capabilities are critical to lead/challenge technical experts through process change. Knowledge of data visualization software is a plus.

Some accounting experience to have a sensitivity on what is possible and appropriate from a financial compliance perspective.

Fluent (spoken and written) in English and the local office language

Team player within a matrix organization design

Education-

Bachelor Degree, Business / Engineering / IT sciences

Experience-

-Similar work experience of at least 3 years in an international corporate environment is critical to be successful.

- Prior experiences should have been gained in product-related industries, preferably in a Sales & Marketing context. MedTech industry experience is a plus.
