Abbott Laboratories is a large and important factory for Abbott Nutrition. It produces and develops a complete package of medical supplies, tailored to the specific nutritional needs of the patient. The range consists of drinking and tube feeding such as EnsureTM Plus and Jevity®, disease-specific food including Prosure®, and drinking and tube feeding for children.

For our Finance department at Abbott Laboratories based in Zwolle we are looking for a:

Cost Accounting Analyst

Across our office in Zwolle we continue to innovate and to solve complex challenges within the healthcare industry while planning exciting developments that lie ahead. You will connect with different departments across different layers within our organization and be the main point of contact for our shared service environment. Key Accountabilities

Financial Planning

  • Support site management in the preparation of the annual Plan and LBEs, within the applicable guidelines and quality standards.
  • Analyze report results and translate them into advices.
  • Pro-actively identify and record deviations in accordance with the applicable guidelines, procedures and formats.

Communication and reporting

  • Inform management about variances to financial targets and propose and encourage corrective actions.
  • Preparation reports for relevant departments and headquarters for your own area of ​​attention (e.g. material usage variance, production volume and absorption, overhead spending from relevant departments, distressed inventory, overtime, etc.).
  • Answering ad hoc questions from relevant departments or headquarters.
  • Prepare financial analyses and translate these into advices.
  • Provide insight into the content of the annual Plan and LBEs for your own area of ​​attention.
  • Fulfill own part in the analyzing and reporting of weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual results.
  • Point of contact for specific internal customers like departments, SSO, Corporate Financial Services and headquarters.

Planning & Control

  • Focus on performing Planning & Control processes and activities, as well as advising through standard analyzes and reports.
  • Perform Month End Close activities on for your own area of attention.
  • Calculate standard cost prices through a standard cost price system.
  • Maintaining the standard cost price system and determining the allocation of costs.
  • Monitor movements in inventory accounting (SOx control).

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • HBO bachelor with limited work experience or HBO work- and ducting level in business administration with work experience in a similar position.
  • You think out of the box and bring new ideas to the table
  • You are accurate, numerical insight and demonstrable affinity with automated systems (MS Excel and Databases).
  • Fluent in Dutch and English language (verbally as well as in writing).
  • You are curious by nature and always find the best ways to approach new stakeholders.
  • You are used to achieving deadlines and targets individually but also within a team.
