Quality Engineer

Job description

Tasks:
ABB Vietnam is seeking Quality Engineer for our Small Power transformers in Power Grids division who will be responsible for implementing the test methods to ensure the performance and quality. Based at Hanoi and reporting to Quality Manager, your key areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

• Monitor quality process and manage the same to make necessary changes.
• Generate 5M requirement of quality to find and resolve quality problems.
• Organize and conduct regular meetings to review status, identify problems and take preventive measures.
• Manage Sigma/Quality check cards, also set up and maintain control and documentation procedure.
• Initiate preventive/corrective actions for quality management projects and solutions for quality problem.
• Impalement OPQ (Opportunity for Perfect Quality) program in factory.
• Control equipment calibration as per valid instructions.
• Provide necessary quality training to employees.

Desired profile

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should possess university degree in Electrical engineering with minimum 2 years of experience in similar position in manufacturing environment. The role will ideally suit someone who has good knowledge of transformers, transformer testing, installation and power systems, and quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and basic quality tools awareness to apply for process control.
