ABB is seeking a Co-Op to work in Procurement & Logistics department. In your role, you can look forward to support the Procurement team with diverse activities and tasks. You will also be given an insight into the internal processes and have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with applications and procedures.

Tasks:

Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Applies and implements procurement & logistics standards, tools, and processes
• Initiate supplier and subcontractor qualifications.
• Initiate request for quotations / proposals.
• Prepare quotation comparisons, validate and negotiate the suppliers' proposals, selecting the qualified proposal (based on total cost of ownership).
• Prepare and implement procurement plans and schedules, and, as required, lead and coordinate efforts of a project team
• Provide support to procurement team on indirect spend analysis, standardization.
• Provide admin support to the Procurement Manager and all his team members as required
• Assist with the implementation of a database of vendors/contractors for DCS and MEC projects.
• Assist in the development of procurement tools and procedures.
• Assist in the supplier diversity initiatives.
• Limited travel may be required.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled and seeking a degree at an accredited U.S. based Institution

Preferred Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain, business related field, engineering, and / or advanced certificate in Purchasing or Supply Chain.
• 3.0+ GPA
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong knowledge of using data manipulation, formulas and pivot tables within Excel.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Strong oral and written skills
• Local to Cleveland, OH
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
