Tasks:
We are looking for a Platform Software Engineer in Helsinki, Finland. In this role you are responsible for developing software for a wide range of platform technology. Rather than specializing in one part of the entirety you get to master multiple areas of the Ability™ cloud automation platform, based on your competency and interests. You are a fast learner, systematic thinker and a real team player with high personal commitment. We expect you to have a vision, get it done – and make it fun!

Your responsibilities
• Software development of platform technology, such as
-Data ingestion pipelines on premises and in the cloud
-Related database kernel algorithms, data structures, and services
-Platform backend services and interfaces
-User interface technologies and development tools
-Platform engineering and application development tools
-Embedded, mobile device, system interfaces and application SDKs
-Test and deployment automation

Desired profile

Requirements:

Ideally, you have
• University degree in computer science, or in another suitable field
• Excellent understanding and practical skills preferably in several of the following:
- C++, C#, JavaScript, HTML5
- Data structures, algorithms, information modelling, cyber security
- UX design
- Cloud platforms, experience in Microsoft Azure technology stacks is an advantage
- Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization
- Modern software engineering practises, architectural patterns and design tools
• Understanding of end-to-end security in cloud applications and platforms
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Demonstrated experience and excellent results in software development at work or as a personal hobby
• Ability for long-term commitment, innovation and taking responsibility
