Functional Safety Engineer

Job description

Tasks:
- Work according IEC61508 / IEC61511 and other safety regulations (for example Machinery Safety Standard / Machinery Directive)
- Documentation management
- System development
- Testing and commissioning of process systems
- Programming of PLCs in ABB's environment (800xa, AC500-S, …) – courses might be provided
- Work with standard communication protocols as MODULEBUS, Modbus (TCP / IP, RTU), PROFIBUS, PROFINET and others used in the process automation industry

Desired profile

Requirements:

- Electrical education – secondary grade at least
- Advanced knowledge of English (any other international language is considered as advantage)
- IEC61508, IEC61511, Machinery Safety knowledge
- Experience in automation appreciated
- Willingness to travel abroad
