Job description

Tasks:
- Design reliable real-time control software for our product range in the area of traction converters
- Develop and test control software for traction and auxiliary converters used in the rail industry
- Oversee all stages of software development, ranging from feasibility studies and simulations to implementation and testing
- Carry out final commissioning on board of locomotives and train sets
- Provide professional technical support to the product management and to internal and external customers

Desired profile

Requirements:

- Solid degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's or PhD)
- Passion for dynamic control theory as well as experience in closed-loop control systems
- Solid understanding of power electronics and knowledge of motor physics
- High level of proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, ideally complemented by experience with real-time targets and embedded software
- Specialist expertise in software development processes desirable
- Fluent command of German and English, both written and spoken
- Well-structured approach with the ability to work in close cooperation with others
