Job Summary :

The person hired for the position of Stockroom Attendant will be responsible for maintaining the plant inventory stockroom.  This position will include issuing, re-ordering, receiving, inventorying, purchasing, distributing, and setting up new stockroom items.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military environments to a 3M career.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·  Orders inventory utilizing 3M systems, while maintaining slow moving parts to determine if they can be obsoleted from the stock room
·  Maintains accurate inventory, including performing inventory checks as required or as necessary
·  Maintains and tracks order files in various 3M systems
·  Receives shipments into the stockroom; ensure distribution and store in proper location
·  Exercise proper material handling with heavy and/or delicate equipment

Basic Qualifications:

·  Possess a High School diploma/G.E.D. or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
·  Minimum of one (1) year of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government, or military environment  

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Minimum of three (3) year of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government, or military environment  
·  Skills include:
·  Mechanical aptitude
·  Organizational skills
·  Ability to multi-task
·  Previous stockroom experience
