Job Summary:

3M Nevada is the manufacturing center of excellence among the seven worldwide Commercial Graphic plant sites producing high quality graphic products, tapes, and liners for the global graphic and signage markets. In addition, 3M Nevada produces specialty products for sixteen other 3M businesses, and is one of the five 3M Super hubs in North America - a preferred multi-divisional manufacturing site.

 Primary Responsibilities  include but are not limited to the following:

·  Demonstrating safe work behaviors to avoid injury to self or others
·  Following operating procedures and customer specifications to produce quality products which are delivered to customers on time
·  Working effectively within a production work team and collaborate with other teams - Contributing to continuous improvement and problem solving
·  Maintaining neat and orderly conditions in area and help maintain and promote safe conditions - Operating assigned equipment in a safe, effective, and efficient manner
·  Operating processes according to procedures
·  Taking appropriate action when unusual conditions occur
·  Using hand and power trucks
·  Using computers as needed to run process operation
·  Monitoring other operations and works cooperatively with others

This position will require:

·  Working overtime as needed
·  Working rotating shifts
·  Frequent physical demands including but not limited to, lifting/carrying up to 50lbs, overhead work/reaching above shoulder level,bending/twisting/stooping,climbing ladders, and prolonged standing

This position may require:

·  Weekend work
·  Working on holidays as needed
·  Short notice shift coverage

Basic Qualifications:  

·  Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
·  Possess post high school education
·  Experience operating a powered fork truck
·  Basic computer skills

Qualified applicants will be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as a part of the selection process.

This posting is for a Production Operator position at 3M Nevada, MO. 3M anticipates that multiple openings for this position will occur over time. Qualified applicants may be considered as Production Operator openings occur at 3M Nevada, MO, and 3M will accept applications for up to 6 months from the posting date of this requisition.  Eligible applications will be kept open and active until May 2019.
