Job Summary :

The person hired for this position will be a member of the Liqui-Cel team that will execute a series of critically important new product & product redesign programs to deliver our brand promise of innovation and strong reliability to our customers.  Our key markets continue to grow at accelerated rates due to the strong need for degassing & separation solutions to enhance our customer’s product quality.  Over the past decade, the external regulatory environment has become more complex, especially related to applications in water & food purification. 

This new initiative will be focused on developing a deep understanding of our customer’s needs/market environment followed by developing new product improvement programs to further our Customer First strategy.  This work will include a thorough assessment of our product families followed by executing improvement programs including new product design, process improvement, integration of systems to enable accelerated business growth.  Be part of a team that is aligned to global megatrends in liquid degassing solutions!

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·  Member of a SPSD Liqui-Cel team that will execute a series of critically important product/process improvement programs to deliver our brand promise of innovation and strong reliability to our customers.
·  Developing a strong understanding of our customer/market needs especially as it relates to regulatory standards and critical to quality metrics.
·  Leading and supporting cross functional product improvement projects (NPI, MOC) leveraging Agile methodologies that will enable accelerated business growth and further our competitive position in the marketplace.
·  Working on high impact, cross functional teams that will work on multiple product families.
·  Driving continuous improvement mindset by using multitude of methodologies that include project management (PMP), Agile, SCRUM, Six Sigma, PPU, and DOE/statistical analysis.
·  Leading and overseeing change management as it relates to product design changes driven by product/quality improvement, supply changes, regulatory requirements, and cost reduction.
·  Commercializing high impact New Product solutions and build a healthy pipeline of new 3M products for use in the SPSD market spaces.
·  Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

·  Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
·  Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a private, public, government or military environment in one or more of the following areas: product engineering, process engineering, project engineering, project management, and/or research laboratory

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Master's degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline from an accredited institution
·  Experience in regulated product categories with expertise in product risk assessments, product safety, and product reliability
·  Project management skills expertise that includes PMP, Agile, SCRUM, Six Sigma, PPU, and DOE/statistical analysis
·  Demonstrated history of significant contributions to an organization through growth initiatives
·  Collaborative interpersonal style with experience in leading project teams
·  Strong communication skills, proven ability to develop and maintain productive networks within the 3M technical community with demonstrated ability to influence

Location:   Charlotte, NC

Travel:   May include up to 25% domestic/international
