Position: Project engineer – Material Control Management
Duration: 4-6 Months Internship – Starting ASAP
Description:
Kaombo SURF, valued at approximately US $3.5 billion, is the largest subsea project in the industry to date. Technip and its strategic partner, Heerema Marine Contractors (Heerema), were awarded this major project by Total E&P Angola in April 2014 for the engineering, procurement, construction, installation (EPCI) and pre-commissioning for the SURF part of the Kaombo project, located in Block 32 offshore Angola in water depths up to 2,000 meters.
While the management team is currently based in Paris, the project is being executed on a global basis (France, Netherlands, Angola, USA, India, etc…).
Based in La Defense, the Project Engineer will assist the Kaombo Quality Manager to develop a tool for project Material traceability.
Project Engineer required to understand the need, the objectives of the Project Team, to understand the process of Material follow-up and develop a tool in order to ensure the management and the client to have a clear view of the Material traceability.
The internship is a unique opportunity to acquire the hands-on project management experience and to work within an international and dynamic team. It offers a transversal view of project management from Engineering to Installation by working closely with team members at different levels and going through main problematics of the project.

Main responsibilities / tasks:
· Understand the process of Material Management (vendors, subcontractors, fabrication, operations)
· Regrouping different databases (thousands lines)
· Develop a tool to easily find required information & monitor Material traceability

Requirements:
· Good knowledge of MS Office suite & Database Management
· Capacity to perform tasks with autonomy
· Strong interpersonal skills, good team player and communicator
· Engineering background
· Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
· Curiosity and willingness to explore all aspects of an international project (i.e., technical, commercial, management…)
· Good knowledge of English as all materials are conducted in English
