COMPANY DESCRIPTION

As market leader in enterprise application software, SAP helps companies of all sizes and industries innovate through simplification. From the back office to the boardroom, warehouse to storefront, on premise to cloud, desktop to mobile device – SAP empowers people and organizations to work together more efficiently and use business insight more effectively to stay ahead of the competition. SAP applications and services enable customers to operate profitably, adapt continuously, and grow sustainably.

Purpose and Objectives

Our team supports sales teams in Europe and the Middle East in business operations specifically for ‘Database & Database Management' solutions, SAP's largest business area. Our main tasks consist supporting regional-level leaders to make appropriate forecasting and business decisions by ensuring they have the correct data and accurate insights into this data. We use the very same software that our salespeople are selling to track and monitor our own sales deals and other KPIs. We also support regional leaders to prepare for Quarterly Business Reviews, ‘End Race' tasks to make sure key deals close before quarter-end, and various other ad-hoc analyses and administrative tasks.

Through this internship you will gain strategic insights into how sales processes are conducted and monitored at SAP, often being part of leadership-level strategic forecasting meetings and business reviews. You will also improve on your data analysis skills working with SAP's software and excel to make sense of complex data and pass on key findings to regional leaders.

Our team is a virtual team, meaning that on any day you could be attending virtual meetings with sales leaders or SAP professionals across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You will have a great deal of independence in your tasks and will be expected to take a great deal of initiative. But you will never feel alone because you will have many local colleagues beside you and the rest of the virtual team is only the click of a button away as we have many virtual conference calls and meetings.

We are looking for someone who is a fast-learner so they can quickly integrate into our team and contribute to our fast-paced work. An ideal candidate has core competencies in business as well as data analysis (coding, statistics, IT, knowledge of project management and business acumen all looked upon favourably). We look forward to having you on our team!
