As IT Expert in Data Science you are responsible for building Data Science solutions for various Roche functions. You have deep understanding of scientific programming and use it to promote innovative ideas and solve complex problems. Working closely with Roche business and scientists you understand their point of view, their business area.
You work outside team and location boundaries, thanks to excellent communication skills you connect to people across the globe to share your knowledge and experience.
You know how to explain complex technical solutions, quickly and efficiently to others. You are always on the lookout for new ways to optimize your work, propose innovative solutions and influence the way your team is working.
You work with incoherent, unstructured datasets, propose custom solutions, make use of other market solutions and bring innovation into ongoing projects.
Knowing current market trends you find ways to promote their use for benefit of Roche business.

Requirements :
·  Scientific programming experience (Matlab, R, Python, etc.); familiarity with numPy and the Python scientific stack is a strong plus;
·  Experience with experiments, machine learning, deep learning, anomaly detection, predictive analysis, exploratory data analysis, and other areas of data science;
·  Statistical / advanced analytics focused knowledge and experience, i.e. clustering, data classification, data grouping, etc; Demonstrated ability to track and work with 100s-1000s of files and GB-TB of data;
·  Degree in Data engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other relevant experience;
·  Excellent communication, advanced English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills;
·  Responsible and reliable, goal and task oriented;
·  Good to have: IBM Watson/Knime/CWL knowledge and experience; Back-end data processing focused experience with Hadoop (incl. Spark);
