Job description

DePuy Synthes Spine , one of the leading manufacturers of implants for the surgical treatment of spine disorders, is looking for a Buyer Planner for a 2 year contract:

Role overview:
Responsible for the effective coordination of the material (components) until its release to production, including the following steps: planning/purchasing, delivering on time the right quantity at the right place, receiving prioritization, quality clearance, in order to continuously supply the production needs without any interruption or shortage.

Responsibilities:
The buyer will have to:
- Compare and verify purchase orders against forecasted of raw material components and related requirements to ensure adequate supplies are ordered for production.
- Review and analyze statistical data to determine buying trends/volumes and then confirm supplier's capacity to support.
- Coordinate and follow up with production, warehouse, supply chain and others, as appropriate, to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling and movement of materials and services
- Take appropriate actions to resolve discrepancies when ordering quantity, price and seeks corrective action for late deliveries.
- Compile and analyze data related to procurement, scheduling and movement of materials and services to facilitate forecasting processes.
- Take appropriate actions to resolve financial mismatch throughout the billing process
- Make recommendations to management regarding improving processes.
- Maintain supplier data base related to procurement
- Coordinate returns to vendors with quality and seeks for corrective action for non-conform parts.
- Drive the continuous improvement of inventory levels
- Prepare recovery plan when required and follow up with vendor and provide inputs to customer service (availability dates, etc).
- Ensure projects meet the company's requirements
- Establish and communicate project schedules, objectives, priorities, and targets.
- Lead cross functional project teams and resolve inter-functional issues.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Data reporting skills through MS-Excel (or equivalent). >2 years of relevant experience
Would be a plus: Lean certification. APICS certification. Good knowledge on SAP system

Skills: Strong organization skills and an aptitude for planning. Accuracy with attention to detail. Proactive approach.
Able to work with limited supervision. Proficient user of MS Office, Excel, Word, Powerpoint. Can drive continuous process improvements. Ability to translate complex situations into simple working solutions.
