Global Service Delivery

Within HSBC Operations, Services and Technology, Global Service Delivery is a leader in the development of services and processes that are designed around the customer and enable the firm to demonstrate to regulators that its processes and ways of working will deliver consistently high standards of compliance. Every day, customers all over the world are paying bills, buying homes and setting up companies and every day, Global Service Delivery teams are making sure all this happens smoothly.

Role Purpose

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets. In this role, you will:

· To develop and execute learning strategy, staff training and capability initiatives which meet business requirements for employee capability, knowledge and operational effectiveness in service delivery
· To implement, maintain, and develop people talent management and development framework as appropriate ensuring employees have access to a structured and robust framework for career advancement that contributes to staff engagement, retention and motivation
· To provide business learning solutions, sourcing training as appropriate, utilising instructor-led or e-Learning delivery technologies that help the business develop and maintain a flexible, client-oriented productive workforce
· To manage relationships with key stakeholders (i.e. location / other sites Management teams, Group / Local L&D and Group HR partners) to support the development of staff capability
· To meet the business learning needs of GBM Service Centres
· To support the implementation of the target operating model for Business Training and People Development.
· To attract, lead and retain a team of Business Training and People Development specialists who can develop, document, deliver and evaluate learning needs
· To work collaboratively with the business management team and other stakeholders in determining learning priorities and solutions
· To work collaboratively with other learning providers within Group and externally to enable seamless delivery of learning products to GBM Service Centre employees
· To align business training solutions with the curricula provided by HSBC Learning Academies to support requirements
· To ensure BT delivery standards meet the standards expected by the business and are consistently applied across locations
· Incorporate appropriate business process risk and control measures into learning activities
· Manage the businesses Career Paths framework across functions and locations
· Work closely with Head of BT and other business heads to establish and deliver learning to support operating model(s)
· Lead a regional team of business trainers in designing and implementing training ensuring effective deployment of resources
· Assist location training specialists with the hands-on development and delivery of in-house business training
· Provide BT input into the preparation of the COE ROP and manage training budget.
· Manage the collection, collation and reporting of business process and non technical learning needs

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  Literate in standard desk-top applications (e.g. WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT)
·  Ability to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
·  Sound personal and public presentation skills
·  Willingness to travel where required
·  A sound understanding and user experience of Securities Services products and work processes
·  Experience in training techniques, methods, and evaluation
·  Analytical approach to assessing and reporting the impact of training on business performance
·  Ability to act consultatively and authoritatively with staff at all levels within the Bank
·  Knowledge and experience of remote based training delivery methods (e.g. WEBEX)
·  Proven ability to manage and sponsor projects
·  Ability to effectively lead, coach and motivate performance in direct reports and peers
·  Strong technical financial skills and ability to explain difficult concepts to a broad cross-section of staff
·  Conceptual and logical approach to information exchange
