Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Manager Credit and Risk .

Principal responsibilities
· Support the delivery of Area Management Head Office Hong Kong key projects, including Transformation for Mortgages, Hong Kong Monetary Authority regulatory requirement to ensure the compliance of the local regulatory requirement and business development.
· Proactively manage the credit policy framework and ensure it's updated in line with economic and portfolio trends, regulations and global and regional policies and guidelines.
· Control impairment by managing Mortgage portfolio to achieve required returns.
· Administer the dissemination of credit policies. Recommend and implement new policies or policy changes. Coordinate with Information Technology and Operations to implement policy if necessary.
· Develop and manage Management Information System to reflect delinquency, loss, vintage, profitability, new acquisition trend, score performance and possibility to increase profit from new and existing customers.
· Analyze and identify potential areas of improvement in credit loss, product offers, customer segments, credit procedures, et cetera.
· Escalate emerging risk issues timely and ensure appropriate mitigating actions are devised and implemented swiftly engaging all key stakeholders.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Requirements
·  University degree in a relevant discipline with proficient years of relevant experience in Retail Banking.
·  In depth knowledge of retail credit risk with a good understanding of portfolio management techniques.
·  Good understanding of overall business dynamics, particularly Retail Banking and Wealth Management.
·  Well-developed analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis using statistical or database packages such as Statistical Analysis System, Structured Query Language or Excel.
·  Proven project management skills.
·  Highly motivated mindset, with the ability to work collaboratively with various Customer Groups and external parties including regulators to deliver assignments on time.
·  Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
·  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
