Headquartered in Shanghai, HSBC Life Insurance Company Limited was established in August 2009. It is a 50-50 joint venture between HSBC Insurance (Asia) Limited and The National Trust Ltd. With a registered capital of RMB1025 million, the Company serves affluent and high-net-worth customers in Shanghai and Beijing through HSBC and Hang Seng bank's distribution channels. The Company offers comprehensive insurance services covering protection, retirement, children's education, legacy planning and wealth growth to individuals and families.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Assistant Finance Manager, Finance Operations, HSBC Life Insurance.

In this role, you will:

- Ensure the information management needs of Finance are met, including Finance System Information architecture, and data management.

- Conduct analysis of operation data to evaluate the operation efficiency of the finance function.

- Work through with in-department staff to understand financial analysis and accounting principle, and deliver quality system support.

- Monitor and review system performance as well as the manual work procedure to find enhancement needs and prepare further requirement to minimize error.

- Adopt operational risk monitoring, identifying and implementing processes needed to reduce risk, particularly accounting risk.

- Improve work procedures and methods by creative thought for cost control and efficiency enhancement.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

- Bachelor‘s degree in Accounting or Finance.

- 4+ insurance financial experience and familiar with China CPA law, Taxation regulation, and Insurance practice rule.

- Finance processing and operational management experience essential.

- Excellent communication and technical (functional and computer) skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and effective problem solver.

- Good knowledge of English (written and spoken).

- Computer literacy: Microsoft word, excel, etc.

- Self motivated.
