The aim of this function is to provide technical expertise to projects for the design and development of solutions. Purpose
There is an opportunity to become a member of an Agile team supporting further enhancement and value delivery from our Project Management system. This system is built on Office 365 and Project Online.

Job Description

As a member of the Scrum team, you will assist in all aspects of the operation of the team. Including refinement of the backlog, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint demos and retrospectives. You will be responsible for SharePoint development related to the Project management system that includes document management and workflow management based on SharePoint Online. This will include the adherence to best practice software development practices and system testing as required.

Job Requirements

The role’s responsibilities will consist of the following:

·  Back-end web development, to renew or enhance the existing web application landscape.
·  Design and Development of high quality solutions to meet the functional requirements
·  Solution deployment and transition to support
·  Provide input to training and documentation
·  Break down User Stories into Tasks and estimate size
·  Work with the Service Operations team & Transition manager to transition completed projects into service for ongoing support
·  Work with other IT teams to deliver high-quality and robust end-to-end solutions in an efficient and timely manner
·  Ensure that the new technical solutions do not compromise current production systems.
·  Collaborate with the Application Solutions Designer to support an application portfolio which will focus on evolving ARMs business applications, from redundant "point-solutions" to scalable common solutions.
·  Work with the IT Security function to ensure that all ARM’s global applications have the required levels of security and protection of ARM’s business information.

Technical Skills

Candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills

·  3 years + experience in SharePoint Online development and administration
·  Proficient development skills in Microsoft technologies (O365, .Net, C#, WEB API)
·  Experience of web development using modern JS frameworks (node.JS, Angular, React)
·  Strong JavaScript Development skills including TypeScript
·  Knowledge of Project Server (not essential)

Soft Skills

·  Functional Knowledge of working in an Agile process supporting sprint delivery
·  Ability to manage work priority to ensure releases are delivered in regular sprints
·  Clear verbal and written communication skills and to be confident in presentation skills

Desirable Skills

·  Database skills MS SQL Server
·  JPA/Hibernate, Entity Framework, MVC
·  Understand how security plays a part with web applications and can identify vulnerabilities
·  Behaviour Driven Development (Cucumber/JBehave/Spock)
·  SAFe Scaled Agile methodology

Personal Specification

·  Must be able to work well with others in a team, especially when under pressure.
·  Effective communication skills with both colleagues and customers.
·  To take responsibility for your own work including the prioritization of tasks and goals.
·  Excellent problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

·  Relevant Microsoft Certification in SharePoint and Microsoft Development practises.
