Description of the job

A vacancy for a Pre-sales Telecom Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space for its Elancourt site. You will join the team Communication and IT Engineering F/G.

In the frame of the Orchestration solutions for 5G wireless and fixed hybrid networks, Airbus Defence & Space is looking for an engineer to perform technical presales activities in close collaboration with the Sales, Portfolio and Engineering teams for the Critical National Infrastructure business.

A security clearance will be requested for this position.

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

Your key activities will be:

¤ Meeting customers to develop technical relationships
¤ Understanding customer business needs and goals
¤ Capturing stakeholders and functional requirements
¤ Presenting (and supporting demos) the technical features of the Portfolio Solutions
¤ Determining applicable Solutions to address the customer needs
¤ Managing RFI and RFP technical answers and solution design
¤ Providing technical inputs for the implementation of Solutions within the Customer premises
¤ Providing consultancy services where appropriate

The position is attached to the Engineering organisation.

Required skills

We are looking for the following skills and experience:
¤ Educated to an Engineering degree level (or equivalent) in Telecommunications,
¤ Following demonstrated experience:

·  ICT background in Critical National Infrastructure area
·  3G/4G Wireless and IP network architecture
·  Security basic in VPN, firewall, authentication

¤Required soft skills:

·  Team player,
·  Customer orientation
·  Value analysis
·  Listening and sense of synthesis
·  Teaching method

¤ Negotiation level in French and in German,
¤At least advanced level in English.
