Description of the job

A vacancy for an ATM Test Systems Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space at its Toulouse site.

Within the Airbus Defence & Space User Ground Systems division, the Air Traffic Management & Navigation Chains department has contributed for over 20 years to a number of major projects in the air traffic control domain, on both national and European level. The activities of the ATM department include both the en-route systems and products and the Approach systems and products. Its main customers are French such as the DGAC/DSNA (French Civil Aviation Authority/French Air Navigation Service Provider), or European (ENAV, SESAR, etc.).

On its own or within consortium, Airbus Defence and Space positions itself in particular on the following cross-functional responsibilities:

·  Overall technical responsibility,
·  Responsibility of system engineering activities (specifications, design, architecture),
·  Responsibility of system validation/integration activities.

You will report to the System Verification and Integration Manager.

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Writing preparatory documents for the creation of plant and site test phases,
·  Carrying out test phases,
·  Writing reports on the conducted test phases,
·  Coordinating with the IVV manager in charge of follow-up for these activities.

This position will require frequent travel for business (once every two weeks within Europe), and, as such, you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and experience:

·  Master's degree or engineering diploma in IT,
·  Initial experience in integration/validation of systems and/or in the Air Traffic Management (AIT) field would be a plus,
·  Knowledge of engineering and IT system architecture (Linux/Windows),
·  Strong interpersonal skills,
·  You enjoy working in an international, multi-skill team,
·  Good analytical skills, meticulous and systematic approach,
·  Summary skills,
·  A negotiation level of French and an advanced level of English,
·  Knowledge of Italian would be a plus.
